Maria Chaouki (ESR12)

Maria Chaouki from Italy, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology and Physiology at the University of Strasbourg in France in 2018. During the BSc she acquired and developed practical and theoretical knowledge in various fields, such as cellular and molecular biology,
genetics, histology and immunology, through workshops at university laboratories. In 2021, she obtained her MSc degree in Biology and Biomedical Applications at the University of Parma in Italy.
During the Msc she carried out a research internship at the Laboratory of Tumour and Stem Cell Biology, affiliated to the Centre of Molecular and Translational Oncology (COMT) and at the Maggiore Hospital in Parma. The research project concerned the combination of drugs with Arsenic Trioxide and MEK Inhibitors in Bcr-Abl positive leukaemic cells resistant to TKIs, under the supervision of Professor Paolo Lunghi and Phd Silvia Mazzera.
